Karaganda State Medical University (KSMU) is one of the outstanding medical universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was founded in 1950. As per the ratings by the National Accreditation Centre, the university has been ranked at the 8th position out of the 60 top universities of the country. The University is known to be the first medical university in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
KSMU enjoys good tie-ups with the universities and research centers in various countries. KSMU also has a power scientific base that consists of Scientific and Research Centre, where many modern researches of medical science are being carried out. The training provided in the university is carried out in Russian and English languages.
